    Overzealously filled pie resulted in the filling bursting through the pastry, so a thin additional layer of pastry has been added. Flawed in looks but not in taste.  

     

    Rustic but succulent chunks of pheasant in a rich ale sauce, topped with puff pastry for a little indulgence. Carrots, onions & herbs help give this dish a delicious depth of flavour.

    • INGREDIENTS

      Pheasant (30%), Black Sheep Ale (Wheat)(17%), Pheasant Stock, Onion, Carrots, Flour (Wheat), Butter (Milk), Apple Balsamic Vinegar (Sulphites), Cocoa Powder, Potato Starch, Thyme, Bay Leaf, Salt & Black Pepper

    • COOKING INSTRUCTIONS

      COOK FROM FROZEN Pre-heat oven (190°C / 170°C FAN / GAS MARK 5). Remove lid & film. Brush with a little beaten egg or milk. Place on baking sheet & heat for approximately 45 minutes until piping hot through – please remember all ovens are not created equal!

      Not suitable for cooking in the microwave.

      Do not reheat.

    • SERVE WITH

      Chips or mash and plenty of green veg...washed down with some of the epnymous ale of course
