Rustic but succulent chunks of pheasant in a rich ale sauce with mixed veg &  herbs for a delicious depth of flavour, and topped with a Rough Puff Pastry Lid. 
 
Yorkshire Heart is our closest brewery and their "JRT" is a delicious bitter named after the Brewer Tim's Grandfather - a wonderful man whom I remember fondly ....why should anyone with a gluten intolerance miss out?!
 
Nowt but goodness...no added sugar, nor preservatives.

    Pheasant (29%), Yorkshire Heart "JRT"  (Malted Barley, Water, Hops, Yeast - confirmed as Gluten Free by Yorkshire Heart)(30%), Gluten Free Flour (Rice Flour, Potato Startch, Maize & Buckwheat Flour), Organic Salted Butter (Milk, salt), Pheasant Stock (Water, Pheasant Bones, Carrot, Peppercorns, Juniper Berries, Garlic, Cloves, Thyme, Bay), Onion, Carrots, Apple Balsamic Vinegar (Cider Vinegar, Apple Concentrate, Caramel E150a), Honey, Tomato Puree, Cocoa Powder (cocoa, acidity regulators potassium hydroxide, potassium carbonates), Cornflour,  Xantham Gum, Thyme, Bay Leaf, Salt & Black Pepper

  • Cooking Instructions

    COOK FROM FROZEN

    PLEASE REFER TO INSTRUCTIONS ON PACK 

    Pre-heat oven (190°C / 170°C FAN / GAS MARK 5). Remove film. Place on baking sheet & heat for approximately 45 minutes (double portion) or 35 minutes (single portion) until piping hot through – please remember all ovens are not created equal!

    Not suitable for re-heating in the microwave.

    Do not reheat.

  • Serve With

    Buttery Mash & Pan Fried Greens... Washed down with the Eponymous Ale!

    Whilst every effort has been made to remove all traces (all our products are hand and home-made) all the game is genuinely wild, so please be aware there is a very small chance that some shot may remain.

    Please do advise of any allergens or intolerances when ordering - your safety is of paramount importance and the juniper berries used in making the stock in this dish have been "packed in a factory that handles nuts (including peanuts), seeds, cereals, soya & products containing gluten". Therefore whilst no nuts, seeds, soya or gluten form part of the recipe, and they are not intended to be incorporated within the dish, Glorious Game cannot guarantee that there has been no cross contamination in that factory, though it should be noted that products containing allergens are packed in a separate room to those which do not, and so the risk of cross contamination is very slight. However, if this is an issue for you, another batch can be made without those juniper berries.
